Hello and welcome to Web Business Architecture. This Wordpress Blog and Website is focused on three primary and complementary areas:

• a simple process based approach to creating and growing a profitable web business
• the design of Sale, Squeeze and Landing pages that sell, and
• how to use Wordpress as the backbone of an online web business

There are two key ideas behind the concept of Web Business Architecture

First if you structure your business correctly you maximise your prospects of succeeding (if you don’t then its going to be harder to succeed online). Second once you have the right structure you can then make sure to continuously improve it. A good way to think about and structure your online business is via business processes. Once you know the processes that are key to your business success you can focus on them and continuously improve each one so that your business grows and is profitable. Two of the key benefits provided by this approach are:

• that it gives you a structured way to think about your business, and
• it provides a guide or checklist to the components of a successful web business.

This in turns allows you to identify and focus on the areas that most need improvment.

Why Sales Page Design?

If your Sales Pages, Squeeze or Landing Pages don’t sell then you will not succeed online. Most web designers do a very good job of designing websites but in my experience they are not necessarily the best people to design sales pages as many are not commercially aware enough. This type of page requires a different perspective than the normal-lets make it look good and usable approach. Looking good and usability are important on a sales page but the most important feature of any sales page is “how it sells.” Hence this site also focusses on good sales page design and enhancement.

Why Wordpress?

Wordpress started as blogging platform but is now an excellent Content Management System - if used correctly. So this site will also focus on the correct use of Wordpress as a CMS to support your business.

A few words about my background. I have 20+ years experience as a an IT Architect and have worked with the Web since its early days. I have designed and implemented software systems that are used by millions of people on a daily basis. I have focussed on Web and Mobile Applications Architecture for the past 8 years.
